UIS offers 30 undergraduate programs on campus, with the top programs being Computer Science, Business Administration, Political Science, Psychology, Communication, Accountancy, and Criminology and Criminal Justice.

Students are encouraged to get involved on campus in one of our 85+ student organizations. Our suite-style residence halls provide opportunities for students to live where they learn. Incoming students are required to live on campus, unless they reside with a parent or guardian within 40 miles of campus.
